2017 summer work

by Janette Wright / Tuesday, 07 March 2017 / Published in Uncategorized

We have had a great sunny 2017 summer season, though “somewhat” dry.

As always the environment, weather and life events influence how I express myself. Hence quite a few of the works have weather or season related titles. Some experiments with oil and water based ink “resist” led to interesting layered weathered and distressed looking images.

I am also working on a few canvasses (about 5), but started the year with more informal work on card and paper.

I hope you enjoy the new images!
