Painting with Thread

These embroiderd works find their roots in all the various landscapes that have filled my life. They are  miniature version of my large painterly canvasses, an essence of the bigger versions.

The process is slow and quiet, repetitive, meditative and hugely satisfying (almost the same action as making my normal brushstrokes). It is an activity that is very accesible, it requires very little space and no set-up. The process can happen outside, on holiday or in the evenings on my couch.
