In 2010/11 I took part in a project organised by a Brooklyn-based company that organizes global, collaborative art projects. Their flagship endeavor is The Sketchbook Project, a crowd-sourced library that features 33,810 artists’ books contributed by creative people from 135+ countries. These books are held at the Brooklyn Art Library in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY where The Sketchbook Project collection is on view to the public.
Throughout the year you fill the sketchbook they send you with all kinds of artwork. When it is finished you post it back to them before the deadline. And voila!
I have done it twice and have been inspired to buy another book for the 2015/16 project.
The Sketchbook Project has now published a book with a compilation of work submitted (2011/12) from all over the world – and I am in it!
The other pics in this post are from my 2010/11 sketchbook.
