Well, its time for chocolate eggs again. My Lindt bunny is awaiting my attention. For me the main thing to remember is the death of Jesus and His resurrection on Easter Sunday.
For now, back to business: I have a few new small gouache and watercolour paintings. I tried something different, I drew the outlines in pen (old fashioned nib) and ink first, then filled in the colour with bright inks, watercolour and gouache for the highlights. Gouache is like watercolour, their pigments are high quality and their texture is extremely fine. The main thing is that gouache is opaque whereas watercolour is transparent. There you go!
What I am doing next, is to mix the characters up (all these characters evolved from random-scribble drawings) and put them in a story setting, as you see with the featured image of Wilhelmina and Fred enjoying tee under the T-Tree. I will develop these snapshot stories more and see what comes out.
Enjoy the process with me!
Lovely work Nettie
