In April I decided to start a “100 Day Project”. The main reason was to discipline myself to do something creative every single day, whether it was successful or not. I called my project: “100 Critters in 100 Days”.
All the drawings start of as scribble-doodles, they grow, and at some point I hope to see a little face, nose or eyes in the doodles. I re-inforce lines that emphasize shapes I want to lift out and colour in the rest to finish it off. The colouring in part is very more-ish and therapeutic!
Since I started this project, I bought a much better quality paper, and the critters quite enjoy having a wee bit more space! The pens I am using are ordinary Staedtler fineliners.
What started out as a bit of a drag, has now become a habit, one I quite enjoy! Included in this post are a few of the better critters, I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy doodling them!
Colourful critters , well done Nettie, Luv them !
